Ever since I was young and searching the world for Carmen Sandiego (and finding her), I’ve had a passion for travel. I remember being in my early teens, looking at all these beautiful places around the world, and wanting to see them for myself.

Much of my travel before having children was centered around the tropics and scuba diving. I’ve explored Aruba, Belize, Oahu, Maui, Grand Cayman, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, and Mexico….both on land and in the sea. I’ve been diving with whale sharks and great white sharks, and I’ve spent time ziplining and ATVing alongside sloths and howler monkeys.

For most of my life, my professional career was based in sales. I loved connecting with clients and finding the best solution for both our businesses, but as a "trailing spouse," my reality meant packing up and starting over professionally with every move.

Through all those relocations, the one constant (and my favorite escape) was planning vacations for myself and my family. While some people dread the logistics of travel, I absolutely love the research aspect. I am the person who happily dives into the deck plans, the 60-day dining windows, and the complex theme park strategies because putting together the perfect puzzle brings me genuine joy.

After years of organizing trips and hearing friends and family repeatedly tell me, "You really should do something with this," I finally decided to take the leap. That’s how Anchor and Shore Travel Planning was born.

Now, as a parent of two, instead of booking high adventure vacations, I am currently into booking more family friendly vacations, especially Disney trips and cruises. You need the high-energy thrill of new destinations (the Shore), but you also need a seamlessly planned itinerary so you can actually relax and be present (the Anchor).
